In 2019, we - a group of Tanzanians - raised a few hundred dollars from our community - and from our friends & family abroad - to finance health insurance for children living in our neighbourhoods. From this grew the vision that today, in a globalized world, local communities and their global networks can take the change needed into their own hands.

Our approach is radically different from NGOs or other international aid projects. We are fully transparent regarding the use of funds. Since our projects are small and simple, we can publish all our income and expenses, as well as detailed impact reports. And because the management is completely volunteer based, every single shilling given to the fund is used exclusively for the projects. There is no money wasted on high staff salaries or office buildings abroad.

We want to be a role model and inspire other community leaders from Tanzania, Africa and beyond, to start thinking bigger and take advantage of their local and global networks to solve challenges facing the community. We want to help them by providing them with the guidelines and materials that help them to mobilize their local and global networks for change. Our core project is the provision of health care and education to young children living in orphanages around our communities. So far, we have already managed to provide hundreds of children with live saving insurance , desks and Uniforms. But we can do so much more. This is just the beginning of a long journey.
